We had a student who was transitioning genders.
We did everything we could to ensure the forthcoming trip was as inclusive as possible. The other students on the course were welcoming and had no issues at all. However, after 3 months on our course (and before the trip) the student withdrew and went home. I think there were a lot of issues going on that affected that decision. But from our perspective we did our best. We were anticipating situations and working towards ensuring the trip went as smoothly and inclusively for everyone. However, it does not always work out.
